Purpose

The Scaife Study Group (SSG) is run by volunteers as a non-profit making association. The membership is made up of those people with a Scaife connection who are interested in looking into the origins of the name and also investigating their own family history. Where connections become apparent, there will be an opportunity to contact other researchers.

The Journal

The Scaife Sentinel (series 2) is published three times a year in both electronic and print format. Anything contributing to research into the Scaife surname and its variations (over thirty exist, the most common being Skaife and Scafe) is considered to be a suitable theme for this publication.
